Wanchese has seafood in its blood. For generations, WFC has harvested seafood to feed not only their families, but also families around the world. We have strong long lasting relationships with our US harvesters and 100% control of our product from ocean to plate in Uruguay and Argentina.
Wanchese Fish Company has three packing plants that receive daily landings from local waters. From here, the product is trucked either to fish markets or to our Suffolk, Virginia processing plant. Our facilities help continue the tradition of innovation by developing new cost-effective and environmentally sensitive technologies. We are constantly growing and adding new products to our food service and retail product lines.
Our Suffolk plant is BRCGS certified! BRC Global Standards is a leading safety and quality certification program, to guarantee the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfill their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.
Wanchese is MSC Certified for our Patagonia scallops and Sea Scallops. Our facility is USDA inspected and we are in compliance with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Shellfish Sanitation Program (NSSP), National Marine Fisheries (NMFS), United States Department of Commerce (USDC), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs. There is a quality assurance inspector on site to ensure a consistent supply of the finest seafood available.
We base our business on your satisfaction and understand that your repeated business is the key to our success. So, we guarantee our products. Ever since we began enjoying the best Wanchese seafood at our family’s table years ago, we have devoted our hands, boats, fish houses, and processing facility to proudly share the best of our harvest with other families and businesses worldwide.
